This photo was taken on a day out to the wildplace attraction just outside of Bristol UKTime
I was super lucky to get this photo. I got there for opening time so 10am. The bears are sectioned off in the morning so that the keepers can lay out their breakfast in the main area. This one was walking down towards the gates to wait for his breakfastLighting
It was a lovely morning so I was able to capture this one with the natural lighting.Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D3300 and the lens 55-300mm. I didn’t use any other equipmentInspiration
I love bears so having a place where I can go visit them on my doorstep is amazing. Whilst I appreciate they are captive it’s as close as natural that I can get to.Editing
No post processing done on this one. All natural. In my camera bag
I always have my Nikon D3300 as so far it’s served me well for many of my photos.Feedback
I would say always go early to those places so that you can hopefully get results you may not expect, plus less people so some animals maybe more relaxed. Plus to capture different aspects of the bears in this case you have the rest of the day to always go back and see what they are up to. Most of all have fun and take lots of photos so take plenty of memory cards.
