A shaggy inkcap, Coprinus comatus, deliquescing (dissolving to liquid, in this case ink). These odd looking mushrooms start out looking a bit like an elongated egg, then can get quite tall and open up a bit more. They're white edges start turning black as they turn to ink, which can be preserved and used for writing.
These mushrooms are edible when white and young but you have to eat them quickly as they start deliquescing quickly!
