Location
This photo was taken at the mouth of the canyon heading into Bryce National Park.Time
It was about 10 o’ clock in the morning.Lighting
It was a cool morning. The air was light. It had snowed just last night and there was still a bit of fog lingering in the air.Equipment
I knew I wanted video and photos so I grabbed my Sony A7s iii and my Sigma 24-70 art lens and sought out the perfect shot.Inspiration
I was in a black and white kind of mood, but as soon as I saw the scene I quickly wanted a red and white. The contrast was breath taking and I wanted try and mix the two.Editing
I wanted to exaggerate the red and white but not too much to lose the detail. The result was pretty cool. Almost like fire and ice.In my camera bag
I always have my Sony A7s iii with me so I can get the perfect video or photo. My 24-70 Sigma art lens is my go to.Feedback
Find a nice wintery morning and hope it snows enough, but not too much. Cloudy or overcast will be your friend.
