Behind The Lens

Location

This particular photograph was made at my home, with a minimum photography gear.

Time

I remember that I made it during the photography course I've taken last year. It was after I learned about light painting technique in long exposure and I was so excited to try it on my own, I was setting everything for an hour and a half, and shouting for three more hours until I was satisfied with the outcome...

Lighting

The only source of light here is a small flashlight I used to paint on the rose in a dark room.

Equipment

Canon 800d 18-55 mm Tripod And a flashlight ????

Inspiration

I love everything about nature, and always wanted to give others the chance to see it through my eyes, so that's why I chose the rose, one of my favorite flowers for this long exposure with light painting photograph

Editing

I'm still learning about the post-processing, so for now mostly I use only Lightroom, and this picture was also a bit I enhanced in Lightroom, but only a little as the original was almost perfect in my eyes...

In my camera bag

I don't have a lot of equipment yet, as I'm only in the beginning of my path in photography, so mostly I have all my three lenses on me, 18-55mm, 75-300mm and 50mm.

Feedback

It takes a lot of patience and planning, to paint with light you need to think in the time the shutter is opened where do you want the light on your subject.. I'm enjoying this technique a lot, and I hope that those who will try this technique, will enjoy it like me.
