This is an image from my school's first project, which is to make a series of self portraits that reflect who you are.
I am disabled and I have a lot of ''invisible'' illnesses that people do not see. One of them is bipolar disorder 2. Along with other illnesses, bipolar used to take over my life, not allowing me to be my authentic self. There are days even with medication that my mind feels like this image. I constantly struggle with my mood swings, irritably, impulsiveness and more.
I hate taking self portraits so I hope this can at least speak to someone as well.
