I wanted to get a Top Gun effect so got very lucky with the bounce from the canopy.Equipment
Canon 7d with a 100-400mm Lens. Pretty much the preferred choice amongst aviation photographers.Inspiration
This particular shot is of the Korean Air Force Display Team who spent the summer in the UK. Quite rare to see them over here and they were such a good display team too.Editing
Of Course it needed a little assistance in toning down the residual light and boosting up the colours. In my camera bag
Camera 100/400 Lens, a nice little 50mm 1.8 lens, two spare batteries, large amounts of 4gb CF cards just in case one goes corrupt on me, rocket air blaster for dusting down the kit.Feedback
The canon 7d with the 400mm IS Lens is a must for the aviation photographer, but to be honest I did get that close that I could have probably got even better results with my 50mm lens.
