Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on a very windy day from the top of the pyla dune, in the south west of France.

Time

This photo was taken on February 5, 2018, the event was very cold and strong! I had to use a tripod that I held with a lot of sand to avoid dropping my camera

Lighting

The light was quite intense despite a few clouds I had to wait for the clouds to disperse to get more light

Equipment

I used a PENTAX K1 with a 35mm. I used a tripod and I haveprogrammed the self-timer to 12 second to have time to positionne me

Inspiration

It was a sentiment of freedom!!

Editing

I used photoshop to give this photo vitality, enhancing the natural colors

In my camera bag

I was using a PENTAX K1 with a 35mm but now I am using a leica Q2

Feedback

To get a beautiful photo like this, you have to get up early in order to be able to benefit from the place without any human presence which leaves footprints in the sand. And of course, you have to be quick to position yourself in the right place while the seconds count down!
