Location
This was taken at our cabin in the Upper Peninsua of Michigan. It's a great place to explore and go on adventures with my five year old. She has a great eye for magical things!Time
I took this late afternoon. The sun was shining hot and bright.Lighting
There was a small pine growing to the left that was shading the mushroom. So, in order to get some more light on it I was crouched down taking the photo, and at the same time holding the pine tree to the side to get the light.Equipment
I am an absolute rookie at photography. I can see it. I just do not know quite exactly how to capture it yet. I'm learning. This was taken on a Samsung Galaxy S10+.Inspiration
My child was the one who inspired to take this photo! It was a, "Mom! Look at this!" Moment. We were looking for neat mushrooms. I liked that it was near the lake. It looked near perfect. The sun was shining brightly everywhere around it. It made for a great photo.Editing
I did not do any post processing. In my camera bag
I do not own any equipment yet. I'm open to suggestions!Feedback
My advice is to not forget about the smaller, everyday things that are surrounding you. We are surrounded by magical things. Especially in the eyes of a child. Take a step back, or up or down. Move things around. See things in a different light. You'll never know what you'll find.
