I took this photo in Pilanesberg National Park, South AfricaTime
One Sunday morning we drive looking for the new leopards cub.Lighting
We saw the one cub in a tree just to far for me to take a photo, after a while he got out of the tree and start walking. We tried to follow him and lost him and then all of a sudden this beautiful cub was right in front of us. I was so excited she was like next to our bakkie looking straight to me and posing like a model.. I was overwhelmed. We lost visual of her brother but got her and what a moment it was. She is at the moment one of the most photograph leopards in the park. Her name is Kimbia.Equipment
I took the photo with my Nikon 3100 and a 300mm Nikkor lensInspiration
what inspired me is just to find a leopard and have a chance to take a beautiful photo..Editing
I just better the color and i cropped my photo. Didn't do any other editing. I don't like to edit my photos as i believe one should see the natural photo as it was taken. In my camera bag
i normally have my Nikon camera and the all my lenses i have. you never know which one you might need. then I have my booklet about all the Pilanesberg leopards to be able to identify one and my bird book for the same reason to identify the birds we see.Feedback
All i can say is always be ready when you are in the bush-veld as it can surprise you with the most beautiful photo opportunity.
