Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot walking through a local park on the way to the library. I was taken by the mass of these seed pods, all spun together ready to take off an explore the world. I am a bit of a fan of seed pods.

Time

This was taken late morning in August in Aotearoa New Zealand .

Lighting

I wanted to get a close shot so you could see the spider like shape of the actual seeds. The sky was cloudy with a little soft sun shining through to give a diffused light.

Equipment

Nikon D3200 AF-S DX VR Zoom - Nikon 18-55mm No other equipment

Inspiration

I have been taking a lot of photos relating to new life… new growth tipu hou.

Editing

I add some warmth to the photo to give it a softer more golden look

In my camera bag

Usually I take my camera everywhere… just my camera and whatever lens I am using. If I am going on a more serious shoot I would take a tripod and a bag holding different lenses.

Feedback

Keep your eyes peeled… there are so many interesting things out there
