These cute yellow bellied marmots have the run of a neighbouring property. There is one main den with granddaddy and grandma (possible great grand parents) and then satellite dens with dad, mom and quite a number of little ones like this little one and his or her dad. When something is suspicious, they pop up on their hind legs and start "chirping" loudly to give warning to all in the area. The timing was perfect and the light of late afternoon gave atmosphere to the shot.
