I've been wanting to shoot this photo for years, but I could never figure out what the name of these lakes were. They were literally impossible to find, no matter how hard I tried to look them up. Until one day recently, I finally found them. I instantly planned a trip with my girlfriend and my best friend.

The day came for the trip. We packed everything up to take the hour drive up the North Shore on Minnesota. We arrived at the head trail to take the hike. Little did we know, the hike would take us 6 hours to get to these lakes, not to mention we were walking in 90 degree weather. As we finally approached the lakes, we rushed down the steep hills to get down to the lake so we could jump in to cool off from the heat. When we finally were ready to get the photos, we trekked back up the hill to get to the beautiful outlook that you see in the photo. Despite all it took to reach it, seeing this view made it worth it.
