Location
This photo was taken at the recent Cardwell Volksfest. At the foreshore park beside the jetty. It was a meeting of the VW's and the Kombi's and was really well supported.Time
It was taken mid morning on the foreshore of the Pacific Ocean - Cardwell, Qld aka Cardwell by the sea.Lighting
The sun was a blaze and just glorious on the winter's day.Equipment
My Sony A7ii was my equipment to capture this shot. I tried to get down low to get them all lined up and the shot people free.Inspiration
I liked the idea that they were all in a row - various colours. Same, same but yet different. Curved around so you could get a smidge of each one with various models too. The weather was just glorious so added to their shine. Most were well maintained, like a blast to the past.Editing
Cropped slightly. Don't think I did any other post processing. In my camera bag
In my camera bag, I usually have my two camera's - one with a telephoto lens ready to capture those shots at a distance - Nikon Coolpix B500. My Sony is set with my 4/18-105 lens and also have a spare telephoto lens for my Sony. Spare batteries for each and memory cards.Feedback
Just play with your height - sometimes it is very hard at car shows to capture vehicles without people since they often weave through the cars. I found the layout of the vehicles here very good, as you could take individual shots as well that didn't have bulk vehicles, if you were wanting to capture just one. Different angles and close ups of parts of the vehicles can work equally as well as the entire. This line up was prime to get the shot I wanted.
