This image was taken with a Panasonic DMC GX-8 camera with a Lumix G Vario 35-100 f2.8 lens on a tripod. I used my I-phone to externally trigger the shutter via the wi-fi.Inspiration
During the summer months, the city of Chicago puts on a fireworks display every Wednesday and Saturday evening. This display takes place on Navy Pier. The fireworks last for about 15 minutes. I have taken many images over the years and each night there is something different.Editing
RAW files converted with Adobe RAW. In Photoshop, the shadows were decreased, highlights decreased and contrast increased. Slight cropping of the overall image. In my camera bag
I have one Panasonic DMC GX-8 camera body, a Lumix 7-14mm, a Lumix 14-45mmand and a Lumix 35-100mm zoom lenses. Extra battery and card.Feedback
I usually take a 5-8 second exposure, iso 100, f4.8. One just needs a lot of patience and a good bit of luck.
