I took this on top of Steptoe Butte State Park, Washington.Time
It was in the every late afternoon when we arrived and my husband slowly drove up the butte. This was in June and we arrived at the park just before 6:00pm.Lighting
When we arrived at the top it was cloudy so there were no shadows but then the sun peaked out making everything look wonderful.Equipment
This was shot with my Nikon D5500 using my Tamron zoom lenses 18 -400mm.Inspiration
On top off the butte you have a 360° view of this beautiful area. I loved when the sun shone on this area and the subtle colors.Editing

I carry a Nikon 50mm, a Nikon wideangle, cleaning clothes, extra battery, and extra memory card.Feedback
I would say go early or late in the day. Also right when we pulled into the park a moose ran in front of our car so be careful of wild animals.
