Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken in a diner in Oceanside, Ca. We decided to do a spontaneous shoot around the vintage part of this small town.Time
We took this mid-day. We walked up and down the Main Street in Oceanside, looking for great spots with a vintage vibe.Lighting
We used a Godox200 pro, and mid-size softbox on a light weight stand, since we were “running and gunning” on this shoot with no set shoot spot.Equipment
This was shot on my Sony a7iii, with my 24-105 Sony g. Lighting was a Godox 200 pro in a Godox softbox.Inspiration
Our model loves vintage 40’s clothing, so she inspired our shoot.Editing
I process all my photos using CaptureOne, then edit In Photoshop, for skin retouch, color grading. I also often bring my images into Luminar for a bit more drama. In my camera bag
I have a Sony 85 and a Zoe’s 55 lens. I also often bring my 70-200 Sony G master. I always have back up batteries and Sd cards, masks, and snacks. For landscape work, I keep my Kase filters in my bag.Feedback
Just get out and shoot. It is fun to be spontaneous sometimes and just have fun. Try different angles, different lenses, and just play!
