Location
Yosemite National Park Tunnel View from a higher perspective.Time
Golden hour prior to sunset.Lighting
Sunset photography in valleys can be challenging because the longer you wait the darker the shadows become as the sun drops below the horizon of the highest objects you are photographing.Equipment
This is a Pixel shift vertical three shot panoramic image with Sony A7RIII with a Zeiss Loxia 35mm on a tripod.Inspiration
I've seen this classic view and I personally think its one of the best awe inspiring views of Yosemite. Referred to "Book End" view incorporating all the elements of Yosemite. My goal was to incorporate a lot of trees in the foreground to lead your eye into the valley.Editing
This is three panoramic Sony Pixel shift images.. Three Pixel shift images were processed to create a single TIFF image. The three TIFF images were used to create a Panoramic single image. The shadows in the trees required a mask to bring out the details and colors of the trees. In my camera bag
Sony A7RIII, Zeiss 18, 25, 35mm primes & Sony 70-200 GM.Feedback
I prefer the highest perspective I can reach which creates a more impressive view rather than shooting upward which makes mountains seem smaller.
