Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the Guadiana river, Badajoz

Time

The photo was taken at sunset, just before the sun set on the horizon.

Lighting

natural light was used, which being almost at sunset, is usually a very soft light

Equipment

Nikon d7200 with the lens tonina 11-15. tripod Manfrotto reverse gradient filter

Inspiration

I always try to capture the calm in the landscapes I photograph, even if that calm does not exist at the moment of the shot. I like to photograph areas close to the place where I live, areas that normally go unnoticed because they are frequented daily and, like everything everyday, we detract from them.

Editing

Minor lighting and contrast adjustments

In my camera bag

I always take my nikon d7200 camera with the tokina 11-15 lens, when I want to get some more distant detail I use the nikon 18-105 lens. As well as my gradient filter, reverse gradient filter and the 6-stop neutral density filter and another 10-stop filter.

Feedback

Previously visit the site to be photographed, arrive with enough time to make the necessary framing and camera adjustments. I like to close the diaphragm so that the sun's rays come into the foreground. Find an interesting subject to dialogue with the background and the use of filters to get the photo from the camera and in a single shot.
