In this image you can see the pillars that support this huge spiral staircase that towers above the Mexican jungle. Built over a Cenote (sink hole), it climbs around 45 meters and you leave via a zip line from the top. The zip line carries you over the jungle at around 40mph.
Looking down we can see into the Cenote at the underground river system that feeds the forest with all of its fresh water. There are no over ground rivers in this area, it's all underground. In the areas with less people, the water can be so clean that you can drink it straight from the source. Sadly these spots are getting fewer with the encroachment of people wanting to go cave diving. Sun block along with other skin care products and human bodily waste is rapidly polluting this fragile ecosystem.

Congratulation, you are the winner of my Cenote Challenge. A fantastic shot. Please tell me where this place is. I am living in Merida. Hope it is near me.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! 😊 These particular cenotes are at the xplore Park, near Cancun, under the Ziplines. It's a bit pricey, but a fantastic day out. 😁
