A picture of Bhusawal Thermal Power Plant taken from the window of GOA Express on my return journey to Delhi during my college days.

In the picture one can see a thermal powerful plant amidst the green farms & nature. The power plant which is the product of industrialization wave in India after independence to become power sufficient were built in huge numbers back then. They use conventional source of energy viz. Coal which is a fossil fuel. Coal is a non renewable energy resource and should be used wisely or in today's time it should be replaced with renewable energy resources as it produces a lot of pollution on burning and degrades the air quality in the surroundings as well as it's ash pollutes the water bodies.

On the contrary, the natural settings of farms and forest around the plant gets degraded due to its effluents. So it should be used at minimum to produce electricity. The alternatives can be Solar energy & Wind energy also Nuclear energy can be used to produce electricity only if used with proper precautions.
