I took this photo outside our patio deck, here in the little coastal town of Northwest Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador,Canada. We have several eagle families flying and landing in the trees .Time
I am not sure of the exact time of day, but I know it had been raining, and this guy flew to the tree and was shaking its feathers to disperse of the rain on its feathers.Lighting
Nothing special in the lighting at the time, I was just anxious to get the shot before it flew again.Equipment
My camera is a Nikon coolpixP950. It has a 83 x wide Optical Zoom ED YR. I may have had it on the bird feature.Inspiration
I am always intrigged by these beautiful creatures. So I always have my camera handy. I have taken photos of may of their offsprings who fly there also. We had two of this years young visit while they were still in their brown feathers. One actually flew on the railing of our patio. I may send that in soon.Editing
No, I just use the digital. In my camera bag
I always have a spare battery, and card in my bag when I travel.Feedback
My advice it just to keep watching for unusual things to photograph. I have taken photos of seals, whales , fox and rabbits around our home. And moose and caribou, when we go into the forest nearby.
