Location
This photo is taken from a little pond, just outside my home. The frogs come there every spring and there are hundreds of them - just imagine the sound!Time
If I remember right, it was early evening, when there was no wind anymore and the frogs were still active.Lighting
I rarely use any extra lights o flash in my photos, I prefer to work with natural light. I like the evening light, in this one the "blue moment" isn't quite there tough.Equipment
I used Nikon7000 body and Tamron 90mm (f2.8).Inspiration
I just have to shoot the frogs every year! It's a great feeling, when you have gotten your ass wet by staying still in the pond, in the perfect position for a long time, waiting for the frogs to get used to you and when they finally appear back to the surfice and allow you to take photos of them. I highly respect nature and animals in general an am always happy, when I manage to get close to them for a shot.Editing
I don't really do post- processing, only the things that you could do in an actual darkroom (contrast, lightning). I am oldschool that way. I never add anything to the photo that isn't there or take anything out that is there. In my camera bag
Nikon d7000, 50mm and 90mm. Resently bought Nikon z50 and the kit lens that comes with it. In my bag is also basic lens cleaning equipment and some chocolate - just for me :)Feedback
You have to be really patient with natural animals. At least if you are like me, who hasn't yet got the money to buy a proper tele lens... It's also good to learn how to hold your breath, if you happen to forgot the tripod...
