Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on one of my nature walks. Being off work due to the pandemic has allowed me to get back into photography, and spend time working on different skills.

Time

This photo was taken in the late afternoon. I went off to explore while my friends went fishing and was able to get super close to the swan.

Lighting

I had a huge fear of birds and really never liked them until I saw how beautiful the swan photos from this day turned out.

Equipment

I shot this with my Nikon d3500 using a 55-200mm lens

Inspiration

I always loved being in nature and loved taking photos of animals, so I’ve just being practicing shooting all different types of animals. I was loving the lighting and just shooting any bird/animal that I could see.

Editing

Lately I’ve been very attached to my 55-200 lens. Occasionally I’ll bring a tripod but usually just my camera and lens.

Feedback

Being quiet, don’t get too close/make sudden movements, be patient and take lots of shots.
