White anemone

By region, the plant is calmed down . The perennial white anemone grows 8 to 30 centimeters long. The stem is erect, sparsely haired or bald and unbranched. The rhizome is brown, long and branched, which makes the white anemone easily spread. There are one or two early-drying, long-stemmed leaves. The leaves grow from the rhizome either individually or in groups of a few leaves. The shoulder of the leaves is three-part and up to 15 cm wide. The leaves are broad, two- or three-divided or split, and toothed. The stems are smaller than the bracts and are usually in a stalk in a three-leaf swirl. The stalk is short, usually 1-2 cm long. The white anemone flower, which is white, sometimes reddish or even red, is usually located individually at the top of the stem. The inflorescence is 2.5 to 7.5 cm long and the flower is 2.5 to 4 cm wide. The perimeter of the flower is grainy. There are usually six or seven perimeter leaves. They are bald on the outside or sometimes sparsely hairy at the base. The stools are yellow. In Finland, white anemone blooms in May-June. The fruit consists of nutty 4-5 mm long nuts that are hairy and short-lived. The nuts ripen as early as mid-summer, after which the whole plant withers away.
