Location
The farm was captured during a trip in Northern Sweden, somewhere between Kalix and Lulea - just saw it when passing by.Time
Don´t remember the exact time, but it was early afternoonLighting
Ordinary daylight, which at that time of the year means from early morning to late evening - it´s darker only a few hoursEquipment
Free hand, no extra equipment, then just a very small camera - Olympus AZ-1Inspiration
Northern Sweden is one of the northernmost areas in the world where agriculture is practiced. This provides unique conditions for food production, more than 90% of the utilized arable land is used for the cultivation of hay and fodder grain, the basis for the production of milk and meat that forms the backbone. The relatively short crop growing season limits the choice of other crops, the climate in northern Sweden with long, dark and cold winters also means challenges in both plant cultivation and livestock production. The climate also places very high demands on the cultivation safety and thus on the adaptation and hardiness of the cultivation material, so smaller farms have in many cases been abandoned. This one might already be gone.Editing
Usually I crop my pictures more ore less if there was little time to capture the picture from start, so with this one, too.In my camera bag
Not much more than a small camera (nowadays with 30x zoom), only when I am out for something special and planned in advance I sometimes use a more advanced (and much heavier) camera with more options, and a tripod.Feedback
Carry lightweight equipment and be always prepared to use it - you almost never know in advance what you´ll discover
