Behind The Lens

Location

Obviously this photo was captured in Portugal´s second biggest city, Porto. We were walking over one of the main briges over the river Douro.

Time

It was early evening in late September, dark enough for all city lights to be shining.

Lighting

The only lightning was provided by the city

Equipment

What I can remember I had a Panasonic Lumix at that time, but without a tripod I used the railing of the bridge.

Inspiration

The view was so great that I just had to get a picture of it. As we had little time for the walk I only had one chance, that luckily went out this good.

Editing

No, only put in the text in connection with an earlier postcard challenge.

In my camera bag

I always try to have the camera in my bag, but not much more - it´s now a Canon PowerShot SX720HS, which takes care of most situations at any time.

Feedback

Capturing night views is often rewarding, but a tripod is of course something to bring if you plan to shoot some. Without one there might be something nearby you can use instead, like a railing, a bench, a fence. a gate or even a wastebasket.
