Shot this colossal beauty (on my Canon 77D coupled with a Sigma 150-600 mm lens) from the Montjuïc mountain in the city of Barcelona back in 2019. It's undoubtedly one of the most famous tourist attractions in the city.
If you plan to travel to Barcelona for a vacation in the near future, do make sure that you visit La Sagrada Família from the inside (tickets cost around €20 each) to get mesmerized & astounded by its sheer beauty, architectural nuances, and the jaw-dropping interior.
Some amazing facts about La Sagrada Família:
✓ La Sagrada Família is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
✓ It's been under construction for over a century since its commencement in 1882.
✓ Its completion date is estimated to be somewhere in 2026.
✓ When La Sagrada Família is completed, it will have taken longer to build than the Egyptian Pyramids, and only 50 years less than the Great Wall of China.
✓ La Sagrada Família was designated as a cathedral, and then in 2010, Pope Benedict XVI declared it a Basilica.
✓ La Sagrada Família is home to the tomb of Antoni Gaudí, the architect who designed this modern day masterpiece.
Managed to reach here? Great!
Okay, so here goes the last one from my side
✓ The central tower in the middle will reach 170 meters tall and yet the ultimate height will be one meter less than Montjuïc, the mountain in Barcelona (from where this shot was captured), which is also the city's highest point.
