Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo when driving through the northwestern part of the Lake District, UK.

Time

The shot was taken earlier this month, on a cloudy day in the late afternoon.

Lighting

I tried to adjust lighting to dim the background and bring out the gold stars and the blossom.

Equipment

Samsung Galaxy S10+ pro mode and a little tripod.

Inspiration

It was a quick shot by stopping the car for a few minutes on the roadside. As I stepped out and leaned over to position my camera, the yellow gorse blossom whispered in my ear: "Ssssstarry night!" so I carried out his wish and later added Van Gogh's image for a fully beautiful and mysterious feel.

Editing

I corrected the lighting and highlights in Adobe Lightroom and merged the photo with Van Gogh's "Starry night" painting and further adjusted the colour balance between the two.

In my camera bag

I only have my phone and a tripod.
