The Milky Way captured over a lake

A nice capture I managed to take while tungsten lights were shining on the bridge, contrasting with the blue waters of the lake.

My first trip to Turda salt mines; this frame is composed of 5 10 second exposures in portrait orientation for panoramic view.

Cerna is always crisp and clear, good spot to cool off and sit back away from the heat.

Behind The Lens

Location

This frame was captured somewhere on the Dobrogean hills at sunset around July

Time

This was a nice sunset, at around 9:15 PM

Lighting

I used an external flash to light up the tree and get details on the foreground

Equipment

Canon 1100D, tripod and external flash.

Inspiration

The colours of the sunset were starting to shine so I stopped the car mid-way home to capture some of the scenery.

Editing

very little contrast and colour correction

In my camera bag

Always carry a wide angle lens, a 50mm f1.4 prime and an old film lens Helios m44-m, an external flash.
