This cairn and photograph was made by me in Bitez, TurkeyTime
This photograph was taken after sunset when the sky was at its best. Early morning and sunset are great times of day to find the best lighting for the sky.Lighting
I like to present these images so that they seem surreal and late in the day provided me with the right atmosphere for this image.Equipment
I used a XT-10 Fujifilm camera with a small zoom lens. Hand held, no tripod.Inspiration
I like making cairns in places that have a good background. I also like recording the cairns I make to have a record of them as well.Editing
This image was post processed years after I took it. The texture was added in post processing using a plastic wrap filter to give it a mysterious feeling. In my camera bag
I usually just carry my camera with a small zoom lens and that's about it. I like travelling light and the zoom lens usually gives me the perspective that I want.Feedback
Building your own cairns is usually the way to go with images like this. Finding the right rocks in the right setting is also part of the process. Photographing them when the light is best always helps as well. That is usually early morning or late in the day.
