Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo in July 2017 in Ushguli Village, Svaneti Region, Georgia. At that time, I went there for a 1-week hike. During our hike from Ushguli Village to Shkhara Glacier, I saw this endemic lily. I photographed it in its natural environment, edited and shared it a little bit.Time
Although I cannot give the exact time, I can say that I took this photo at noon. I can say that in the last meters of the walk, when we approached the glacier, it was the points where its greenness decreased.Lighting
The light was in its natural state. In particular, I did not use an additional lighting source. Because no matter what type of photography, I usually want to shoot with natural light. In this way, the result is more impressive and realistic to me.Equipment
I took the photo by hand and did not use a tripod or other stabilizing equipment. Also, I didn't use any flash. My camera was Nikon D810 and the lens I used was the focal length of 24-70 and 70 mm.Inspiration
As a photographer who takes nature and landscape photos in general, I love to view objects in their most natural state. I like to photograph them without any additional manipulation or even touching them. I did the same with this lily and captured it in its most natural state. Because its simplicity and glamorous beauty were already enough for me.Editing
I did a little editing, albeit a small amount. This arrangement is light, contrast and a bit. It can also be thought of as a color match. Other than that, I did not make any further interventions that would affect its originality. But I worked with the portrait layer to bring the lily to the fore, so that its expressiveness could stand out a little more.In my camera bag
In general, I carry 1 zoom lens and 1 wide angle lens in my bag. I also keep a few filters to use for different purposes. Tripod of course.Feedback
My most important advice would be to take the photo without affecting the naturalness too much. Apart from that, of course, I recommend trying to use basic photography techniques, composition rules and light in the most appropriate way. I think it is very important to photograph the same object more than once. because after returning home, you have more than one option and chance in your hand.
