Behind The Lens

Location

I took my photo in my home office space.

Time

I do most of my work in the evening as I worked during the day at a nursing home.

Lighting

At the time I didn't have any studio lights, so I used my led lights above my work desk, which I set to red and used a torch at the bottom of the model to get the shine.

Equipment

I used a standard tripod and a Canon 500D DSLR.

Inspiration

I'm into my Warhammer and nerdy stuff and wanted to build up my portfolio. Plus is was a model that I build and painted.

Editing

I added some smoke effect to get a bit more atmosphere. Also a quick touch up and colour balance.

In my camera bag

Canon 500D DSLR, extra batteries, a 300mm zoom led, 50mm led and depending on the theme so toy models.

Feedback

Whatever come through your head, just go with it. Yes, you may have a chance some bit but that is what is amazing about photography, you can change up the idea until you get the right shot.
