Behind The Lens

Location

I took the photo like almost all my studio pictures in my studio in Hallein. You can also rent that ;-)

Time

I like to take pictures in the evening. Because then everyone simply has their normal daily business done and everything is somehow less stressful. We had scheduled the shoot for 6pm. This picture was then taken at about 8 pm

Lighting

The light setup was actually very simple. A strip light on the right side behind her to not lose the cheek in the shadows and to give the hair a bit of shine. A large softbox from the top left which makes very soft light due to the size.

Equipment

my camera was in this case an Eos 1dx Mk III and a Canon EF 135mm f/2.8 In addition, the two flashes (Bowens Pro) light shaper as described above. A background black.

Inspiration

The model wanted to have cool and simple photos. So we didn't put much set effort. A seat cube and a lot of fun. She had the sunglasses with her and since they fit exactly to the outfit, I thought we'd play with them a bit. So this photo is actually created incidentally.

Editing

Of course I adjusted the colors and gradatioin in Lightroom. Then I did some skin retouching in Photoshop and darkened the background a bit.

In my camera bag

Feedback

To imitate such a picture you do not need much. The most important thing is to make the model feel comfortable and have fun. Then play a little with the existing acessioires and you have a selection of cool pictures.
