A Mugger, Indian marsh crocodile basking on the banks of the river Soheli in the mystic Dudhwa National Park. This river has its way back to Nepal where the forest of Dudhwa extends several square Kilometres. We saw this crocodile basking at approximately 8 in the morning. We returned to the same place at 4:30 PM in the afternoon hoping to catch a glimpse of a tiger or tigress drinking water but found the reptile was still in the same place with only a slight change in its head's direction!
