Location
Planting Fields Arboretum, Oyster Bay, New York. I had just finished shooting my Bee series of photographs, when I saw this lone flower and took a series of photographs of it.Time
It was early afternoon.Lighting
I moved around the area so the sun light illuminated the area and separated the foreground from the background. This added a 3D effect to the image.Equipment
The picture was taken with a Nikon Z6, FTZ adapter, AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm 1 :3.5-5.6 G lens, Arsenal Remote V1, iPhone 7 Plus running the Arsenal App and a Peak Design compact tripod.Inspiration
After the excitement of shooting my Bee photographs, I was looking for my next subject. My eyes spotted several isolated flowers. I moved around to get the proper lighting and perspective, then began shooting.Editing
I used Photoshop to crop the image to a square. I increased the contrast and hue of the image. Then I sharpened the image. In my camera bag
