I took this picture last spring. This male and his female mate had three fledglings. The juveniles eventually flew off to find their own homes and then this male and his mate had a second brood. The eggs had barely hatched when a predator got in the bluebird house and ate them and I believe killed the female. This guy flew around lost and lonely for about a week and then he left. I haven't had bluebirds since.
