Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in my home with studio light set up. I'm a self taught photographer, so every picture is a new lesson for me.

Time

The reason why I love this photo because that day when I took it I was depressed. I had a 1 year old toddler and I felt down. I felt I'm a bad Mom and I can't do it anymore. I'm not sexy anymore. I thought I lost fire in me. Then I looked into the mirror and I said to myself. You know what? The fire is still inside you! I will show you!!! I had my morning coffe and started to work on myself.

Lighting

I wanted to share to the Mum's who are in the same shoes as me, that it's okay to feel bad. It's okay to be down. BUT! The fire is always in you, you just have to feed it!!!

Equipment

This was shot on Nikon D800 and I used yongnuo 35mm 1.8 lens and a soft box for litghing.

Inspiration

To show myself, that as a Mum I still can be sexy and attractive even If I don't feel that way.

Editing

I used photoshop, to soften the skin and remove the circles from under the eyes. I also gave some brownish tone to the skin and pulled up the black and the red colors, to pop up.

In my camera bag

I never leave the house without my Nikon D800 camera, my Tamron lens 70-300mm 4.5 telephoto/macro lens, Nikon lens 24-70mm 2.8, Yongnuo 35mm 1.8 and the Godox flashlight.
