Its funny how our expectations can completely alter our perceptions. This is an image I took a couple years ago but I never got around to editing it until recently. I had completely forgotten about this beautiful sunset. And I even remember being a little bummed that first day. How could I forget and even be unhappy with such a beautiful sunset???? The reason I believe, is because this was supposed to be a Fall photo trip, but as you can see by the lack of Fall colors in this image, we were a little too early. I let my expectations of seeing all the beautiful Fall colors I had previously seen online completely jade my experience. I look back now on the trip and this may be one of my favorite images from the trip! Moral of the story I guess, is to try and leave all expectations and preconceived notions of what you think a place will be like at home, and try to just be present in your experience.
