Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Palm Cove in North Queensland.

Time

This photo was taken on dusk.

Lighting

The fairy lights in the old fig tree create a warm glow that is incredibly eye catching.

Equipment

I used a manfrotto tripod to use a slow exposure with a cannon 5D mark iii and 24-70 mm L series lens.

Inspiration

This amazing couple were celebrating their 10 year anniversary with a Ceremony on this fig tree deck. Before I left them to enjoy their anniversary dinner. I asked if I could capture this romantic setting as the finale shot. We had no idea the Grand chancellor resort would want to use this photo for all of they're marketing for the next 10 years. It really was a magical moment.

Editing

The post processing was only a little bumping up of the contrast in light room.

In my camera bag

I'm a cannon girl, I have several canon lenses and bodies in my bag. My favourite lens is the 85mm L series lens 1.2

Feedback

Fairy lights are always incredible, though you will need a tripod to stop blur which is a real problem when working in dark settings.
