A central part of my practice, especially during lockdown, is documenting life in my immediate neighbourhood, using the changing light, greenery, river and built landscape.Editing
My general rule is to try to get it right in camera and do minimal processing.In my camera bag
Perhaps this is odd but when I go out with my camera I take one lens, with a UV filter and possibly a polariser. So I have choose locations and compose images within those constraints. It forces me to think about light and angles, how I position my self, standing, kneeling or even finding something to stand on.Feedback
Learn your place and how it changes over the day, the week, the month and the year, become able to see the new perspective in a familiar spot. It helps to be between the Thames and the Grand Union so there is always something to see.
