Behind The Lens

Location

Richmond BC Canada looking south on the Fraser River.

Time

I took this photo in early afternoon in February.

Lighting

The lighting was perfect that day and it was subdued by the clouds.

Equipment

I used my iPhone 8, hand held.

Inspiration

I take this walk quit often. There is usually a breeze but this day it was dead calm. I loved the almost perfect reflection with the combination of the patchy blue sky and scattered clouds. The scene just jumped out to me.

Editing

I did very basic post-processing right on my iPhone 8.

In my camera bag

I normally use a Canon EOS Rebel T7i with a Tamron 18-400mm F/3.5-6.3.

Feedback

I have done a lot of travel photography. While traveling I am always looking "the" shot whether it be doors, windows, colours, sunrises, sunsets, landmarks, landscapes, people, food, art, etc. so when at home I am still in the habit of looking for interesting shots. Having my iPhone with me at all times means I can get the shot when I don't have my DSLR with me.
