Location
This photo shows the historic Siuslaw Bridge in Florence, Oregon central coast.Time
I chose to stand on the east side of the bridge at sundown during a low tide. The river runs into the ocean so it rises or goes down with the tide. The sandy beach area is underwater unless it is low tide.Lighting
The goal of the photo was to show the view through the bridge of the sun setting. The camera needed to be where I could take the photo showing the sun framed by part of the bridge silhouette and show the sunset shadows. I wanted to get the golden hour light.Equipment
I used a hand held Samsung A51 smartphone. The automatic HDR was turned on.Inspiration
I was inspired by photos I saw on Viewbug of views looking through bridges.Editing
I used an old free Picasa software program to saturate the photo and make the colors and contrasts a little stronger. In my camera bag
I carry my smartphone, but I don't have any other equipment.Feedback
I went to the area and planned ahead of time where I would stand, the time of day, the lighting, and the time when the tide would be low so expose the sandy area.
