This picture was taken in response to what has been occurring in Turkey. This was well after the attempted military coup, which my mother witnessed with her sister Mediha in Ankara one year. After taking the photograph I added small Turkish flags on both cheekbones and posted it on another photography app. It breaks my hurt to see what is happening in a country I love so much, in the hands of a wannabe dictator.Editing
