The photo was taken in Chicago. I walked around the City during lunch time when I saw a perfect shot and couldn’t let that moment go. I am a self taught photographer and love waiting for those special moments to capture them.Time
I was sitting in my office and decided at noon I would take a walk. The day was just perfect. Sunny then stormy. Flurries were falling as the sky went from blue to grey in just minutes.Lighting
The lighting for the photo was just nature doing it’s thing. The sun was out and it was bright then it transitioned to a winter storm that was hitting the City. In that transition the lighting just was right giving a change from light to dark.Equipment
The photo was shot with a Sony A7RII with a 85mm F1.8Inspiration
The weather and changing of clear skies to a winter storm was just perfect. The lighting was just right.Editing
The photo needed a little more work to give it that detail of the change of light and the snow coming down. I worked on the RAW file on Adobe Lightroom. In my camera bag
I always carry my camera with my 85mm f 1.8 and my 50mm Sony lens. I pack this everyday. Making sure I never miss that perfect shot.Feedback
Chicago is a great city photograph. Weather changes rapidly here. You can have a very clear sky one minute and then it can storm (snow, rain). You might even see a orange/purple sky or that rare but beautiful rainbow after a storm. So always make sure you pack your equipment and be ready for the magic to happen.
