Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the local park in Orange N.S.W Australia

Time

It was quite a while ago since I took this photo. If I remember correctly though it was a sunny day probably in the mid afternoon

Lighting

the lighting was normal out door lighting, but the flower was in shadow. That gave the overall flat lighting.

Equipment

The camera I used was a Nikon D610 with a Nikon 60mm micro f/2.8 lens.

Inspiration

I was walking around the local park photographing flowers. I saw this flower and with the colours, they caught my eye.

Editing

Processing the image, I added some contrast, slightly increased the saturation and dodged and burned the centre of the flower with a slight vignette to pull the viewers eye to the centre of the flower

In my camera bag

At that time in my camera bag I would've had my Nikon D610, Nikon 60mm f/2.8 micro lens, Nikon f/2.8 80 - 200mm lens, Sigma f/2.8 24 - 70mm lens

Feedback

There's not much advice I can give on this image. The only thing I can say is to keep your eyes open and look around, when you do see something of interest look at the subject from different angles.
