Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in a park San Clemente California.

Time

It was around 730 pm

Lighting

There was a light directly above the bench. The way the photo came out is exactly how I envisioned it.

Equipment

I used an Sony A7R3 with a 24mm 1.4 GM.

Inspiration

I wanted to convey a feeling of isolation and I felt making it Black and White would really communicate my vision to the masses.

Editing

I did minor editing. Just darkened the image and used a gradient to create the dramatic effect of the white light intersecting with the darkness

In my camera bag

I always bring my Sony A7R3 is with the 24mm 1.4 gm. I love shooting film so I bring my Contax G1, Hasselblad 500cm.

Feedback

Do not be afraid to take chances. Understand the fundamentals of photography as a foundation and let your creative and vision guide you. Stop comparing your work to other photographers. Create your own style.
