I took this photo in our back garden during an out of the ordinary snow storm that the Netherlands hasn't seen in 45 years.Time
This was taken in the afternoon at 1630. The combination of the light and snow fall was at a perfect moment.Lighting
I wanted this photo to portray the pure innocence of a pups first snowstorm. The lighting was completely natural light.Equipment
This was taken with the Nikon D500 Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 G2. No other equipment was needed.Inspiration
It has been a rough year for everyone. For us, our girl Nova was expecting a litter of pups in February 2020. At the same time our Sweet Boy Shiloh's health took a drastic turn for the worst and we had to let him go on the 27th of February 2020. 3 weeks later sweet little girl Sequel came home with her momma. This snow storm was a very freak occurrence for the Netherlands, it's been 45 years since such a storm. This storm was in February of this year (our Sweet Boy Shiloh loved the snow) and it was little Sequel's first snow and I wanted to capture the pure innocence of her first snow and honoring the memory of Shiloh who blessed us with 16 years and 2 months.Editing
Just some minor adjustments and did lighten the fence and removed a part of our shed out of the background. In my camera bag

I really don't have any true advice because I am still learning myself and nowhere even close to being a great photographer. My only advice is don't give up and keep trying different things because photography is really an evolving art. You have to find what works for you and your style.
