Location
The photo was taken in my home studio in Buenos Aires. In fact, it was my living room transformed in a photography studio! I had to move all my furniture to make place every time I had a shooting, but it worth it!Time
It was taken in the afternoon. Since I work in my living room, I usually arrange all the shootings when my husband and daughter are not at home so I can work without interfering with each others diary life.Lighting
I love to play with shadows and lightings so I usually use one light, placed at 45º from the model, slightly above their heads. That creates more dramatic shadows and it´s what I look for in my portrait photography.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon T3i and the 18-55 kit lens. I used a continuous light with a white umbrella to light it.Inspiration
I love working with people and capture their style in a portrait. Abril is a classy and elegant girl and I wanted to reflect that through her pose, the colours of her clothes and the mood of the entire photograph.Editing
I work with Camera Raw and then Photoshop, to correct skin imperfections (although Abril has a perfect skin), enhace shadows and light and clean the backdrop if needed. In my camera bag
I have my Canon T3i, my 18-55 kit lense (it´s underestimate but please give it a chance, it´s a versatile lense!), my Canon 50mm STM 1.8 that I looove, 2 batteries, a battery charger and 2 memory cards.Feedback
As I have said, I shot this photograph in the middle of my living room, and I had to move all the furniture to make place for the shooting since I had no other space to work. So my advice is that´s not necessary to have a special, fancy studio to do this kind of shoots. There is no excuse to do what you love, so go for it!
