I actually have a roommate who has a bird - grey finch . It was taken in the living room while he was sitting on the top of the cage

I improved some contrast via photoshop to create more dynamic photo

I used Nikon D3400 , 55mm lens

Inspiration

I like birds and this grey finch likes to pose so we made a small photo shoot

Editing

Yes, I just did a small touch up on the contrast and thats it

In my camera bag

I have my 70-300mm lens and 18-55mm lens

Feedback

Grey finch personality varies bird per bird. This grey finch is super active and catching him being still is difficult. I just saw a moment and was able to capture it. I would suggest patience and understanding, sometimes bird is simply not in a mood and most of birds do like a bit of attention but again it may vary bird per bird.
