This photograph was captured at Toorji Ka Jhalra [Stepwell] at Jodhpur, it was a random shot where I notice this beautiful stranger woman walking around the steps of the stepwell and waited for her to reach a position that compliments the proper framing.Time
On my visit to Jodhpur City in Rajasthan, I wanted to capture the historic architecture of this city. I reached this destination "Toorji Ka Jhalra" during the early afternoon and captured a shot of this stepwell but was missing the Human Element. Since it's one of the most visited places in Jodhpur were so many tourist visits and often it's very crowded. I had waited for around 2 hours to find the perfect shot avoiding too much crowd and also get the right composition. Luckily after a wait of around 2 hours, everything was perfect as how I was seeking it. Not much crowd, Female in an ethnic dress with bright colors walking around and I captured this shot after a long wait.Lighting
Since it was afternoon and the sunlight was very harsh, also I was at the opposite end in direct sunlight. I had to have many adjustments in terms of my location, sunlight, and everything. Since it was a shot taken in an unplanned situation, I was able to capture this amazing shot. I believe the hard work and patience of waiting for many hours was worth incredible after getting this amazing shot.Equipment
This was an hand-geld captured using a Nikon D5100 camera and Nikorr 24-120mm lens and not other equipment.Inspiration
I wanted to capture this well-known stepwell, but after taking many shots of stepwell only I felt missing the human element and wanted to include that. Since it was an unknown location and city for me with no one along with me, I was clueless on how to get any model or someone that compliments the whole setup. Luckily I saw this girl with everything perfect I captured her. Later I informed her, had a chat with her where she had given amazing clicks but they weren't as natural/candid as this shot was.Editing
